Shenandoah County, VAShenandoah County, in the north-central Valley, is well-placed for farming and has no major cities in its borders. The county ranked 5 th in agriculture in the state, with its main products being poultry, apples, sheep and hay. It lost 9% of its farmland between 1987 and 1997.
