2016 “Keeping Your Farmland Farming” Dinner Series: Seminars to Help People Transition Their Farms to the Next Generations
Topic 1: “Business and Tax Management Issues for Farm Transition,” 12 January (Edinburg) or 14 January (Verona) – Speaker, Mark Botkin, Attorney, BotkinRose, Harrisonburg
Topic 2: “Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Advanced Medical Directives,” 19 January (Edinburg) or 21 January (Verona) – Speaker, Jeff Adams, Attorney, Wharton, Aldhizer, and Weaver, Harrisonburg
Topic 3: “Land Leasing for Farming in the Shenandoah Valley,” 9 February (Edinburg) or 11 February (Verona) – Speaker, John Flora, Attorney, Lenhart-Pettit, Harrisonburg
Each seminar will begin at 5:15 pm and will include dinner ($5.00 per person). Please register by the Friday prior to your choice of event to assure sufficient space and meal.
