Valley Conservation Council has been at the vanguard of the extraordinarily important work of protecting the unequaled beauty and natural productivity of the 11 counties that it serves. This effort has required a rare combination of vigilance, engagement, tact, and patient persistence, all disciplines that successive generations of VCC boards and staff have employed with great effectiveness. Today the vistas all Virginians enjoy of their mountains and valleys are just as awe-inspiring as they were centuries ago, thanks in part to the dedication of those who have worked for and supported the VCC through the years. It has, and will continued to be, a privilege for Conservation Partners to work with and to follow the inspiration of the VCC as it continues its noble mission.
